Extra Credit
Occasionally I will offer the class a bonus question on a test or extra credit for attending an event. Any extra credit beyond those offered to the whole class will be just that... EXTRA. Not "instead of." So all regular work will need to be turned in before I accept any extra credit - even if it is turned in for zero points. You will need to check with me and get pre-approval or I will not accept your work.
There is a maximun amout of credit I will accept, and that is decided on an individual basis. I usually do not accept any extra credit at all until after the first progress report.
So what can a student do to get extra points? Find science in the world around them.
Visit a science related place & do a write up of what you saw, did or learned.
So, how many points will you get? It really depends on what you do, how big a write up you do, and how much you learned. Different, unique experiences are always interesting!
