Tuesday: Read Ch 11.1. Do Workbook pages 193-197
Thursday: Read Ch 11.4 Workbook pages 210-215 POWERPOINTS SHOULD BE DONE, OR ALMOST DONE! WE WILL BE HAVING PRESENTATIONS THIS THURSDAY AND THE WEEK AFTER BREAK! Each student was assigned a phylum and/or class of invertebrates or vertebrates to report out on and provided with a note taking guide. We then spent half a class period (45 minutes) in the library collecting information from books. Students are required to cite at least two book references. One can be their text book. We've spent two class periods since then collecting information online and working on our Power Point presentations. All information including pictures must be listed in their works cited page!
This is the information that should be included in their Power Points: Title Slide Classification Characteristics Examples and # of species Geologic Time Anatomy and Diet Reproduction and Habitat Minimum 5 facts Minimum 5 pictures Works Cited (Text and Picture!) If they didn't finish their presentations in class students can work on their presentations in the library or at lunch on B Days. :) If you work on your presentation at home, be sure to save it in .pdf file format so it can be opened at school and please email me the finished project at [email protected]. Please put your child's name and the word "powerpoint" in the subject bar. Friday: **** Write at least 10 KEY FACTS (ex. What do all vertebrates have in common)
